I believe that a useful position for a particularly switched on individual is someone under a title I describe above.
Basically, someone who studies or watches the growth of mini-societies and mini-economies within Cantr, and tries to balance it. They try to balance it by making a 'suggested spawn occupation' for people making a new character. Some examples of 'suggested spawn occupation' could be 'Businessman', or 'Wine Dealer', or 'Town Leader' or 'Settler'.. This would appear after the character has been spawned in a region which requires that occupation to keep the society and economy growing artificially.
Another role they could undertake is general reporting on the actual progress (if any) of an economy, and perhaps even societies.
Personally I've noticed an increase in the terms DOW and DOL (Days of Labor/Labour) and thought we might start seeing an efficient economy coming into place.

Re: Sociological and Economical Watchdogs (new staff position)
It has always been the core principle of Cantr that societies and economies should evolve by itself. We can set the framework, but influencing the game like this seems in violation of those principles.
The players don't need somebody to tell them what to play. Either they figure it out by themselves after a few weeks or they don't care anyway.
