Dragging Partial Amounts

Postby BarbaricAvatar » Mon Jun 18, 2007 12:56 am

Another annoying thing.
Example, there is 50000g of carrots outside, you want to drag 20000g to a building. 50k is too much to drag for your char, and you can't pick up 20k.
A box asking how much one would like to drag would be useful.

Specifically the last post in the second link.
The problem with any partial dragging (either selection of amount to drag, or dragging all you can) is that the initial pile of resources can change its state in numerous ways - people can add to it, take things from it , projects can complete and end up adding to it, it can be dragged by others and outside a lot of resources can rot during the day.

Moved to rejected suggestions for the reasons mentioned above.

Also there are in-game ways of achiving the desired effect (either moving the whole pile or part of it)
