Teaching! [Duplicate]

Postby Valsum » Mon Mar 26, 2007 10:10 am

Not sure if it's been suggested before, but what about experts being able to teach others? Maybe in long projects, depending on randomness and a teaching skill.

Then you'd get an expert hunter who is an awkward teacher trying to show a novice how to hunt. It'd take years!
No more skills! There's already too many!

Barbaric, Valsum don't mentioned a new Skill, just a new project.

And I love the suggestion. It would bring another profesionals to Cantr:

How exactly would it work though? I'm just not sure what you are suggesting.

This has already been suggested. If someone lesser than an expert works on a project with an expert, their skill will improve faster.

Well, Apprenticeship came to mind, at least when I read it. A person with lesser skill (lets say novice) could get an increased rate of developing a skill when on a project with an expert at that skill. Perhaps a teaching skill could be developed to vary that as well, but it's just a thought.

Yep, this has already been suggested. Several times I think. Here is a link to one:
