Allow drying dung with dung, refining gas with propane.

This would make very much sense and in the case of dung allow newspawns to either not having to travel a long way for cooking fuel right away or being caught in a catch 22 like state of dependency for food.

Drying dung requires no fuel. It's powered by the sun. The only reason it's done in a fire pit is that programmers wouldn't know how to use the land itself as a "machine" because then you would have to define how much room there is available. And it would be too easy too.

Drying of fresh dung doesn't require any fuel

Moved to rejected, as it really won't change how the game functions at all.

That's a silly reason to reject this suggestion. To purify gas into propane, you need gas and a fuel source to heat the stuff. Why can't propane be used to purify gas?

Well, purifying gas with propane does make sense but the primary suggestion of drying dung with dung does not. Why waste a resource when you can get the same effect free (by using solar energy)?

You are assuming that the other resource is used to heat the gas. I would venture to say that those resources are used to purify the gas (adsorption of particulates, and absorption of certain gases such as sulfur compounds).

For the advantages that propane gives in game, it is worthwhile to require an alternative resource in the recipe.
