saves from people confusing sailors by building galleons and naming them after the city they float outside of or "Unnamed location" lol

How about course and speed information for vessels withen sight. Might make it easier to intercept or evade other vessels...

Did this change affect docking to ships that were moving at 100%? Or was it just a glitch? A few days ago somebody managed to dock to our boat while we were full steam ahead, clear everything out and undock. I don't want it back or anything, just wondering if it's an actual feature or just a random glitch?
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

No these changes have nothing to do with what you described. It has always been possible to dock to a moving ship if you are close enough when docking commences.
