Pasta!

Postby Otherside » Tue Jan 07, 2014 10:47 am

Simple version:

1200g pasta =
Kitchen Table
1100g wheat flour
200g water

Better(?)/More complicated version:

1000g semolina =
Millstone
1500g wheat
200g water

1000g lasagne =
Kitchen Table
1000g semolina
100g eggs

1000g pasta/pasta verde =
Kitchen Table
1000g semolina
100g water
200g spinach (Optional)

Then: Beef lasagne, Meat(?) lasagne, Pasta Bolognese, Carbonara, Ravioli, Tortellini.. Semolina pudding, Semolina shortbread... you know you want to..?

You've got my yes. Who wouldn't want a simple bowl of pasta, or even the fancy ones, after a hard day? Such a great comfort food. Semolina pudding, too, now that's something I haven't had in ages!

Same here.. and agreed!

I suppose the simple version could also be made from rye and sorghum flour too? Wheat does have too many perks already, it would be good to give the people of Midgar and similar places more nice food choices!

Shouldn't there be atleast a little egg in all of these?

It can be made without, will leave it up to the devs. It would be nice if it was quite accessible though.

I voted yes and I've noticed a trend lately, every single time I look at the suggestion forum I end up hungry, wonder why?

Yes yes yes i want pasta.

Urgh for Semolina... we used to call it Frogspawn. I won't eat it but I wont push my opinions on others so if it happens and my characters want it then I'll let them eat it.

I was talking about this with a couple people as well.. You beat me to it. >.<

I think a dough-roller should be needed to roll the pasta out like dough and then a knife to cut it into strips or squares or... you know.

But I definitely voted "Si".

And cheese curds. And cheese. And veggies.

But not just with wheat please. Those wheat people have enough nice recipes only for themselves already. There's very good wholegrain pasta. So at least the grain to make semolina should not be restricted to wheat. We don't need specidific recipes for the different kinds, though.
