There's also vegetable cakes and gingerbread, but I agree: Rye has very few uses. Regarding pasta: How about an option of making the pasta with doughroller and knife, with a relatively reduced output, and another one (With a larger output) using a...pasta machine (I don't know how they're called in english  )

I would have suggested a pasta machine, but figured it would be easiest to find things to use that are already in-game. There isn't much to do with the dough-roller and I imagine a lot of metal would have to go into a pasta machine which would only have one use as well.

I was also thinking any flour should be usable for the pasta, to make it more accessible.

If we're discussing rye recipes in general, there's always mämmi. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A4mmi It's made of rye flour and malt. It looks like poop but tastes much better.

Not sure the name of it but my one of my old roommates used to make a pasta with thick flat noodles, some white cream sauce and chunks of chicken that was good. that should be added.
