Put fixed objects at the bottom of the list on objects page

Postby SekoETC » Sat Jun 22, 2013 8:56 am

Well, save for the lock, window and noticeboards, I think it would make things easier if fixed objects (machinery, masts and sails and furniture) were at the bottom of the list. It looks weird when there's portable machines, tools, and portable furniture (such as blankets) in the middle of fixed machinery. Stuff that can be picked up should be grouped together. As far as I know, this would be very simple to implement, because all fixed objects have setting 3.

Only at about 5am this morning I had the same thought.
An absolute yes from me.

Group them at least. 100% approval.

Wasn't grouping of items in the objects page a long ago accepted suggestion?

Oops, I forgot. The last message in that thread is from September 2012 so I completely forgot it existed. Anyway, I looked at the code and I'd know how to implement this. It only requires editing one line.

Good idea. Grouping by categories will be ok too (when it will be implemented). But fixed should be separated from movable and such distinction should have higher priority than sorting by category.

Moving to accepted, because domesticated animals are on the bottom of the list :(

My sheep isn't all the way down, but above the fixed objects... Is that wrong, or right?

Now it's right.
Animals were on the bottom after announced change and before implementation of this suggestion. So for a couple of minutes.
