I agree with you completely on everything except this "fact" because I'm pretty sure there's currently no event for taking things out of held containers.

Just so everything stays clear.

Oh, really? Heh, now I don't feel so guilty for spamming the event log.

Events can be filtered, so this should really never be a con.

Is this "filtering" something separate from "preventing this event from lighting up your character"?

There's a possibility of both preventing certain types of events from lighting up your character and making them completely invisible. Two different things.

Sure, it could be set so that you don't have it spam your event log and light up your char. I don't want my char's every action to be broadcast to others, though. If I want others to react to my char -I- will create a post with an emote or something to that effect to say "Hey, I'm here! Somebody interact with me." There are plenty of times when I am only online a few minutes to do something quick and I don't want people jumping up saying "Hey you're awake!" And I just think it's redundant to have your event screen show:

Bob says: "*sips cider from his bottle*"
You see Bob ingest cider from small glass bottle.

How does that help RP? It seems very awkward.

I will continue to only RP my chars drinking without actually ingesting anything from a container and woe to the player who comments that no event message was generated so mine must not actually be drinking. Or maybe I'll just send my chars to large towns with 4kg of some beverage and get them drunk. 1 gram at a time.

Hm, I voted no just now for the event message. There's no practical reason it should create an event message in my opinion, since it is only for portable containers with things the character already owns.

11 of 21 people were against.
There will be no event notification.

Implemented.

Ctrl+r on inventory page to get access to more convenient ajax-based ingest action.

Thank you, I like this :D Except for one thing:

When we don't have "Retrieve more objects then" checked, can the continue button please take us either back to the inventory page (where putting items in your inventory would take you) or the events page (where normal eating would take you)?

No. Not possible, I think.

I mean, it will be possible after rewriting whole storing and retrieving code.
