I'd say a (green) red cross would be the best choice, but I wonder if we could need a "plus" symbol elsewhere. (Since you add health, this interpretation would make sense, too.)

Another idea I had was an apple with a bitemark, but I'm pretty sure someone used that before.

yeah, you may be infringing on someone's trademark there. The plus is much safer.

I like this one.

Is the little plus sign is on top, underneath, to the side, or inside the heart?

I think it might look best to the right side of or inside the heart.
