I think we could greatly increase the potential of this suggestion if we wouldn't limit labels to be a type of sign, but understand them as true free-form descriptions of items instead. The only difference to the mechanics already accepted would be that instead of using labeling/signwriting tools to change the description, using the tools needed for making the item would be more plausible.

This would open up several RP possibilities, like creating customized furniture, statues, paintings or even architecture, while the only downside I can see is that relabeling items might become more difficult in some instances.
