Yeah, that never crossed my mind. But I like it. I mean, you'd have to have a fishing pole, though.

That is a good idea. I never thought of it either....fishing pole or a net. Nets would be a nice addition.
I just can't stop coming back....

Yes, that could actually open up a whole new career...fishermen.

With nets the gain should be much larger, but perhaps the random number could be greater than other projects?

I would support no unaided collection from land, and nets onyl usable from boats, so that the biggest yield comes from vessels, as in RL

Yes, nets would be good. Maybe you'd use hemp for it? Since, I mean, it could be used to make clothing? :?:

you'd probably have to use rope and or string plus a knife of some form to make it

yeah, i'm not sure about needing a knife for a net. a stone hammer for instnace should require a chisel and maybe a knife or saw. a screwdriver should require some sort of forge and a hammer. most tools don't follow RL.

A stone hameer would not need a chisel or a saw. If you find a suitable rock, and tie it to a stick you find in the forest... Maybe it should require hemp, but not a chisel. A screwdrievr would need a forge, but wouldn't a sharpened stick do a job some of the time?
Fishing nets is a very good idea, it would enable longer voyages as well, if you get food whilst on the boat, all you need then is wood to cook them

Yes, people used fishing nets long before any metal was put to use...

So.... you want to be able to cook fish with fire on a wooden boat? This just screams smart if you ask me

Lol obviously you cant cook it out at sea but the idea of fishing nets is good and only being able to use them in boats.
