Yes, they should be longer than the longest item description we have now and be universal. That would lead to us being able to put nice descriptions even in large clothing.

Look at my screenshot. Implementation has begun, although the 160 charlimit still holds. The cutoff seems to be 157.

I thought that was just an idea you had.

It is. Actually, it's not doing it any more (or it wasn't last night), so obviously there's some quiet stuff going on behind the scenes.

Oops! It was meant to be invisible yet. I forgot that description text has additional " - " which means 3 characters more. Descriptions should get shortened only when they excess 160 characters. I've fixed it but may take some time to propagate.

This makes me happy.
