I like it a lot as well and as for the child thing (far off in the future though it is) maybe it should be a reward or just an option to be a child as opposed to being an adult. Though if you had procreation the spawning of a child character would have to be queued, unless you had child characters just spawning and not being part of a family automaticaly which would be fine I suppose.

I just implemented the people centric spawning.
Locations with a higher density have a higher chance to get spawners; only normal locations can get people spawned (not ships or so); people inside buildings are counted for the location the building is in; also locations with just one person can get people spawned (but, alas, chances are smaller).
Of course, it takes language into account.
Babies will be implemented, but this system can then stay for the 20-year-olds.
