Radio, on the other hand, would be pretty awesome.

Basics of the plot (Could be understood as a slight spoiler, hence the tiny font size): It's about an electromagnetic pulse that's transmitted via cellphone, and every person that hears it turns people into enraged zombie-like maniacs

So based on that plot summary... Basically what happens already when Cantr denizens hear radio chatter?

Turn into NPC zombies who start to attack the characters in an enraged, almost animalistic way would be the closest idea. The few survivors have to team up and try to escape to less populated areas, perhaps small islands, and suddenly the more primitive communities have the upper hand when it comes to survival (Sounds like a nice idea for a fanfic to me )

I wouldn't mind at all if one of the depopulated islands of Cantr (an English island, maybe) suddenly had a zombie outbreak. Zombies being classed as high damage animals that only repopulate if they kill someone.
