I'll send a PM to mikki - she must have missed it because I saw her posting recently.

edit: It's back on track now, no worries.

I lost this post due to a server error, but fortunately I had the important information in notepad:

Clearly, Tassadar has failed us; you must not. (joo)
Clearly, Dogonabun has cheated us; you must not. (Sparkle)
Clearly, Dogonabun has cheat me, you will not. (trexdino)
Clearly, Dogonabun has cheated death; you will not. (UloDeTero)
Clearly, Dogonabun has trivialized death; you will not. (SekoETC)
Clearly, Dogonabun has trivialized salami; you will not. (Tangential)
Clearly, Dogonabun has trivialized salami; you should not. (mikki)
Surely, Dogonabun has trivialized salami; you should too. (Joshuamonkey)

lol i liked this one. HEY! we were supposed to change two words!! I guess something got lost between trex and Ulo... but JM changed it back.. dang it, I wanted to change two words but I thought it was back to one word instead.

Yeah, I mentioned that in my lost post, but if people only want to change one word, there's no stopping them. Of course, I think it was a chain of misconceptions set off by UloDeTero. No matter, it was a short sentence anyway.

Hey, there's a secret prize if you guess where the original sentence came from!

I just followed the example, there was only one word bolded so I assumed we were allowed to change only one.

I know, I know. :D

It came from Starcraft didn't it? I recognize the Tassadar from the original.

Am I right?

Huh. Looks like I messed up. Sorry, guys.

Btw, I started a 'phase B' that should be about halfway through by now.

Yes, it did come from Starcraft - the very first protoss mission briefing, in fact. And the secret prize is: pride!

I'll wait until this mysterious "Phase B" game is over before starting another.

With how long it takes, more than one at a time might be a good idea, with a different order of people.

Okay, we can start a concurrent game (let's call it "Phase A" - to complement Ulo's "Phase B")

  1. Sparkle
  2. Trexdino
  3. UloDeTero
  4. SekoETC
  5. Tangential
  6. mikki
  7. Joshuamonkey

Remember for this round: send copies to me, change two words, embolden the words you change, and don't change the bold worlds from the previous sentence.

Yay! Phase B is complete! :D

His paintings capture both the spirit and the lushness of the age in which he worked. (original)
His paintings capture neither the spirit and the lushness of the age in which I worked. (Trexdino)
His paintings capture neither the purity nor the lushness of the age in which I worked. (Sparkle)
His paintings capture neither the purity nor the innocence of the age at which I worked. (joo)
Joshuamonkey's paintings capture neither the purity nor the innocence of the age at which he worked. (Joshuamonkey)
Joshuamonkey's comments capture neither the purity nor the innocence of the location at which he worked. (mikki)
Joshuamonkey's comments proved neither the obscenity nor the innocence of the location at which he worked. (Tangential)
Joshuamonkey's outfit proved neither the obscenity nor the innocence of the location at which he danced. (SekoETC)

Every word was changed except the, the, of, the and which.

Thanks to all participants.

After the round that just started, just like all the other games, I regrettably have to drop out since I will be leaving soon.

Alright, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for playing.

And the sentence chain for round 17 is:
  1. Apathy is death, worse than death because at least a rotting corpse feeds the beasts and insects. (joo)
  2. Love is life, worse than death because at least a rotting corpse feeds the beasts and insects. (Sparkle)
  3. Love is life, worse than death because at best a growing corpse feeds the beasts and insects (trexdino)
  4. Love creates life, worse than death because at best a growing corpse feeds feral beasts and insects (UloDeTero)
  5. Love creates life less than death because at best a rotting corpse feeds feral beasts and insects. (SekoETC)
  6. George Bush creates life less than death because at best his rotting corpse feeds feral beasts and insects. (Tangential)
  7. George Bush creates life less than death for at greatest his rotting corpse feeds feral beasts and insects. (mikki)
  8. A Bush creates life greater than death for at greatest his rotting corpse feeds feral beasts and insects. (Joshuamonkey)

The sentence is actually one word at the end than at the start due to Love being changed to George Bush, then George being changed to A.
