Bone china clay and workbench

As far as I've seen, every thing you can do with a stone table, you can do it on the workbench, except for making bone china clay; but you can make both ceramic and porcelain clay. Is this an overlook or something intended?

It's probably just an oversight. There's no reason why it couldn't be done on a stone table.
