I noticed that in the project for growing herbs (or at least growing patchouli oil, but I assume it'll work for all herbs), the project screen says you can make it faster with scissors, but obviously, there's no way to work on growing herbs projects. Is this some kind of bug? (probably not too bad for actual gameplay)

That's odd. Suppose this is intended, if you were topping the plants you'd use either a knife or a pair of those short and thick crooked scissorblades but that's not a tool in game, there are only plain scissors, used for fabrics and collecting.
What machine is your pic from, herb garden, pot, windowbox?

For plant pots it does work (they can be manually assisted). I'm not sure why it affects the project, must be because that's how they are sped up when gathered as resource. They're unique in that way as no other wild resources are made through projects.

Ah, good point, that'll be it
It doesn't affect gameplay as far as I noticed, so it's not a big deal
