Unable to start destruction projects

I'm trying to disassemble some (often used) screwdrivers and a (new) shovel, and I've had no problem in the past, but now it keeps giving me an error message of "You are not in the same location as this project" whenever I try to start the project. Am I doing it wrong?

I get the same error. I don't see what we could be doing wrong - it's in the vehicle with my character and it could only be closer if it were in his inventory, where the disassembly button doesn't show up.
