Re: Suggestions for Weapons and Protection
I think it would be funny as well as a little useful that there be an option to attack with (a)stone if your character happens to have some in their inventory. Would give a little boost to the fist, could also subtract a gram of it from the users inventory when this option is used.

I think this is a very good idea. I think also we should be able to pelt them with other things too, like wood, and buckets.

We can assign damage values to any object, but not to resources. We could give the cooking stone an attack value though.

Oooh!
I like this. Then I could kill myself with a comb, which, really, I've wanted all along.

Bola
Sling (and/or slingshot)
Glaive
Falchion (primitive machete, may be obsolete as a result)
Furthermore - I think the gladius is underpowered as a weapon currently. For example, it is less effective than a broad sword, even though historically it proved to be the more lethal weapon. Vegetius famously stated that two inches of steel generally kills a man, whereas slashing weapons (while painful) are not immediately lethal.

If we can assign offensive values to anything what about defensive values?
Somehow you strayed and lost your way,
and now there'll be no time to play,
no time for joy,
no time for friends
- not even time to make amends.
You are too naïve if you do believe life is innocent laughter and fun.

Its looking awfully familiar to me too for some reason, but I can't quite place why. I want to say it was from a Nightbane/Palladium book that added a bunch of weapons/machinery/electronics and vehicle combat that you could incorporate in-game.

It's from Unearthed Arcana, AD&D second edition, ca. 1983. I've played D&D since '76

We can do that as well, but since always the item with the highest value is used, it wouldn't make much sense.
