Flagging Characters

Postby RedQueen.exe » Tue May 17, 2011 5:29 pm

I'd like to see the option to flag our own characters in the character screen. Essentially the equivalent of the ability to mark email as unread. Sometimes I check a character and think "Yeah, I don't have time to handle that, I'll get back to it later" or I just can't think of an IC-appropriate response, and then no new events happen, and I wind up forgetting to respond or check that character entirely.

Otherwise, I guess maybe I'll have to always keep a gram of something useless on all my characters at all times. Just had an idea for an incredibly kludge-y workaround. :D Of course, the only problem with that is then the other character(s) knows that mine was awake and didn't respond. I'd have to trust people not to get offended, confused, or turn it into a strange in-game scenario.

Maybe it would be nice to have this as a properly implemented feature but maybe you should consider putting notations in your characters name. Like (h) for hungry or (x) for someone you want to return to later.

While that's a good idea, for innumerable reasons (related to administration), I don't like when players use their character's names as a notepad.

I'm going to pretend that I had already thought of that, yet was aware of the headaches it causes Doug, and therefore ruled it out if the two of you don't mind. :D

You're not me, are you? Just checking

Maybe we could utylise the field that allows you to give short description for other characters? Right now it's unuseable for your own character. If it was useable, and there was another collumn in the 'characters' screen showing it for each character, I think it would be a nice sollution.

It's not unusable for your own character any longer.

Great :) one trouble less.

Would it be possible to make an additional collumn by character's name to show it?
