Disassembling locks

Postby Armulus Satchula » Fri Jan 21, 2011 3:56 pm

When taking a lock off with a screwdriver, I think you should get all but like 20 grams of the iron back. It seems like using a screwdriver would be more like taking it off and if you put it back on, it would be more like repinning the lock.

I suggest getting less back than you put in, because you get a key with a lock.

I disagree. Cantr isn't mimicing RL reality very well to begin with. I don't think adding a lot of special cases to try to do that is of any real importance, while trying to keep it simple and easy to manage is.

Well, for consistency's sake the general disassembly rules should apply to locks, too, which means that you would get half your resources back. This seems like a lot of effort for very small amounts of iron though.
Pretty in pink.
