Having Custom Descriptions in the Hover-over Box

I like this idea, and it's actually what I originally expected the hover over effect to do. It would help people pay attention to the custom descriptions people make for their characters.

I have one problem with this idea:
What if a character goes under a dramatic physical transformation (either RP'ed or abusing the feature) within the event-retention time on peoples' event page? As in....

For example, on Day 3048, you (Char A) talk to somebody (Char B) with a description like....
"Long blonde hair with icy eyes, pale skin, looks well-fed."
Char B leaves or something.

And then on Day 3054 you look back at that event and the custom description. The player of Char B has changed it to something like....
"Short, dirty hair, tanned skin, looks hungry."

Would the custom descriptions be dynamic as names are? And if Char B comes back, should Char A be able to recognise Char B on the spot, despite Char B having an almost completely different look about them?

I suppose the latter question would be up to the player, but it's more the former I'm concerned about.

I get the feeling we're getting off-topic, though. ;)

The custom descriptions wouldn't be recorded in the events. You would only see them when your mouse hovers over their character name or when you go to the character info page.

(I split the topic by the way.)

Custom description hover-over would have to be turned off for characters not in your location to prevent abuse.

Oh, sorry, I didn't think about it that way, but yes, if it wasn't turned off when they're not in your location, then there might be problems with knowing whether or not a character is dead.
