Who else here gets a kick out of building worlds, making up lore and such?

Sometimes it's more fun than actually Playing in a world... I have so many mostly-built fictional places in my head, that never really get "shared" beyond the binders and folders on my bookshelf or my dreams! :D Love it!

In my far removed days as a dungeon master, I got to go a lot of them... well, actually it was smaller parts of one big one.
You start out with one localized milieu and manage to fit it into a larger swath you had envisioned for world changing political events. Chars start out defeating kobolds and orcs until the lands of giants and dragons are entered. That part was easy... making it balanced was the hard part. It has to be winnable, but not too easy or monty haul.

World building rocks, but maturity and its inherent responsibilities have left those endeavors behind. :(

One of the other people on this forum once accused me of being a worldbuilder... And I have to admit that person was correct, though I maybe haven't done much compared to others, it is fun.
I've given myself rather a large Cantr-related project that I'm hoping to make more progress on, though it's been slow lately. Not sure where to turn for more inspiration - besides reading more mythology like I already planned to.
