China is pretty laid back in general, and the people (for the most part - it's hard generalizing with as many different ethnicities as China has) are pretty chill. Husband works for the Chinese now (lot of that in Australia these days) after they bought out his company, and he says it's way better than working for the Italians (who cut costs and employees to make as much profit as possible) or the Japanese (who have a serious problem with over work, coupled with a dislike of overtime pay.) According to him, the Chinese are happy to let them do their thing for as long as they're successful, and uses them more for training/experience, less for pure profit.
