+1 And writing a Cantr-related story! https://dougrobertsblog.wordpress.com/ (I'm improving your SEO Doug ).
About my avatar. I don't remember exactly how I found it, somewhere online. It should be obvious that I like monkeys. And I like the baby-like humility of it and the fact that it animates. After some time of using it I happened to find that it's the logo of a programming environment program called Monkey Studio IDE. I tried using it, but had some technical difficulties so I gave it up.

Re: Where is your avatar from?
Mine is from "Sr. Búho" (Mr. Owl), a plush toy I fell in love with and I annoyed for WEEKS my husband with it (he never made me one, nor bought it. He makes plush toys).
Anyway. Thats a revenge cause I wanted a plush toy nicknamed "The Fatty squirrel" (an old plush from some kid that was in sale for something like $2 in a place like Amazon), and he never bought it for me because I "deserve better things than an old and crappy plush".

Had a friend draw it up based on my online alias that I used at the time. (Cantr forums is the last place with an active Mafia Salad account) Which came from a conversation while I was in middle school about how on the internet you can combine any two random words and assign new meaning to them.
I was half right. Youtube, Facebook and some other big sites followed that pattern with slightly less randomness, but nonsense words like Tumblr and Google (and Cantr) seem to be the more dominant trend.

My avatar is just a default avatar from this forum.

Re: Where is your avatar from?
“I used to have a cat, an old fighting tom, who would jump through the open window by my bed in the middle of the night and land on my chest. I'd half-awaken. He'd stick his skull under my nose and purr, stinking of urine and blood. Some nights he kneaded my bare chest with his front paws, powerfully, arching his back, as if sharpening his claws, or pummeling a mother for milk. And some mornings I'd wake in daylight to find my body covered with paw prints in blood; I looked as though I'd been painted with roses.”
― Annie Dillard, Pilgrim at Tinker Creek
I remembered it a little bit wrong and made my name here "paintedbyroses."
I saw my avatar picture somewhere online and I can't remember the artist's name. I thought it looked like it had been painted by using rose petals like paint brushes. Can you see the woman's face?

Mine is a picture I found hilarious. I think it was in an email about 'why we love animals" or something like that.
