Game of Thrones

Postby nitefyre » Wed May 18, 2011 10:00 pm

I don't know if anyone's been watching Game of Thrones, the well-done HBO series capturing George R.R. Martin's epic fantasy series. Admittedly, I wasn't familiar with the series until a Professor recommended it, but clearly there have been some Cantr connections with earlier/foundational players. I assume KDS was heavily influenced by it, what with the Seven Kingdoms and the Rangers, etc.

Also, the new book comes out in July. I'm praying to God I finally get to find out what happens to Brienne.

I think they did an absolutely amazing job casting the roles for the hbo series. Almost none of the cast strays too far away from what I imagined them to look like while I was reading the books.

I'm also anxiously awaiting the new book. I finished reading the last one 4 or 5 years ago!

I read the first book , and started reading the second online, but made the mistake of looking up the plots of the other books on a wiki, big mistake....

I've only had time to read the prologue so far... 3 more double shifts to go, until I have free time again....

My favourite fantasy series ever! Hubby just bought the new one for his Kobo, so I have to wait to read it.

I agree Dyl, they did a great casting job in the show, and they've followed the book amazingly well. I love it!

After casually viewing the first episode, I somehow ended up watching the entire first season in one day sometime last week.

I'm pretty impressed with what they've done so far. Just started with season two, and I'm still impressed.

I watched the first season earlier this year and looking forward to the second. I ordered the first four books online but I haven't started reading yet.

Try watching 'True Blood'... Not a single actor/actress in there stays covered throughout the seasons... Despite of the rather appealing storyline
