the reason they use it instead of a nice reliable japanese one, is cuz I'm on a base....

Ah, your parents are in the military. I suspect that you are American then, right? I don't think there is Americable in the states. I have never heard of it. Over here there is Road Runner which is owned by Time Warner (who also owns AOL and AOL High Speed) and Earthlink DSL which are the popular ones.

Military people never buy anything that isn't made in America because if they buy stuff from like China they believe that they are buying stuff from companies that employ child labor which takes away jobs from Americans. I guess that is why your family is using this Americable. It would be funny if someone found out it was owned by a Japanese Corporation :lol: .

I dunno...I'm just glad they added cable internet on base at all...unreliable as it is....stupid military doesn't think...

You know what they say about 'Army Intelligence' though I think that should be applied to the CIA since they can never get anything right. Why don't we just do away with the CIA and employ the Mossad?

And I have a feeling that this will become a topic split by tomorrow. :wink:
