What is the max amount of players the game has ever had?

Just curious, at what point was the player count at it's highest for Cantr, and how many was that? Also, how many players are there now? (I no longer play the game). Thanks! I need this deep curiosity in myself to be cured, lol!

These are the public statistics, but available only after logging in.
Of course many of the new accounts were visited just once and so on, but it's generally reliable.

When was the Intro Server added for new accounts?

I think the peak was before the graph started, though. It wasn't much higher, but a bit.

Can someone put the RL years on that graph, please? I barely grasp the passage of time difference in Cantr so I can't figure it out.

No real conversion needed. It looks like the peak was about 4000 days ago, or around 11 RL years.

I think this public graph is masking some significant changes in how new accounts enter into the game. There has always been a pretty high attrition rate for new accounts (as with all games), but now more of this is seen on the Intro Server, which I believe is no longer included in the number of accounts. There certainly has been a steady decline, but it would be helpful to have more clarity about what is shown.

Also, and this has been posted elsewhere, the dropoff around day 5000 was due to the introduction of the Portuguese Intro Server. There was an advertisement which was bringing many people with expectations of a different sort of game, so after that point they were left on the Intro Server rather than idling out in the game.

Not that it is a good thing, but new accounts which were never played may be inflating numbers for earlier periods.

That Portuguese player thing still baffles me. I had an English player exploring near a Portuguese zone at that time and it looked like war zone. Dead bodies everywhere. It looked like someone was killing sleepers. Most had died from weapons. Some of the chracters were quite old too.

Hey, thanks for that highly condescending reply to my simple request.

Please explain how my answer was highly condescending.

Numbers confuse me. I made it clear that I didn't understand the difference in time or days between Cantr and RL. You answer implied that it should be easy to figure out the graph (and clearly it is for some people but not for me).

I still can't figure out what year it is at any point on the graph except the beginning peak. That's why I requested that the RL years be put in where the Cantr years are now, or at least every other one.
