A "Player's Mod" could be really cool! Make everyone toe the line!

Thing is, there are over 60,000 active players in eve online. So while your personal GM (which in fact is a lie and gimmick, as in most games it's just an automatically sent message, and any replies to them are redirected into the helpdesk) may have sense in the big, crowded MMO, in Cantr it doesn't.

No its not. You have an all staff moderating team so it can always be alleged to serve staff interests , not those of the forum or players. Many forums have general discussion mods from the community who have no conflict of interest and these people are often very experienced.

Are you an experienced player of Cantr, is interested in contributing to the development and maintenance of the game and its rules, have time available as volunteer and some ability to communicate in English, you are considered free, fair and honest? Sign up for staff member and join us!

Might be better to have that ad in the following area to keep this thread on topic.

No. That's was an answer to have a "Player's Mod".

Sorry as you never mentioned anything about the forum or moderating it I assumed it was an add for game staff.

A non staff mod would be some one like Seko who is independant of staff , well respected and experienced. They could be involved when both staff and players break forum rules

We already have people who are forum moderators but not belonging to the staff and, therefore, have no access to the game database. To have any access to the game database is needed to belong to the team, be from staff. If someone wants to be more than a forum moderator, have more tools to work, necessarily have to enroll as a volunteer of staff.

Staff and forum moderators? All member of Players Department are forum moderators. The Liaisons of Public Relations Department too.
Forum moderator without staff functions? Some. You, Rmak too.

This is partly why there is unnecessary negativity toward staff. Joining staff doesn't suddenly turn you into a different person or make you no longer a player seeking the interests of the players. Especially for staff members who are only forum moderators (though really this applies to all staff), these are people from the community seeking to help the Cantr community, and they shouldn't have a conflict of interest. We do need more, however.

What do you think my interest is? I just want everyone to be happy and for Cantr to succeed. :|
