Game changes - Announcements

This thread will be used for announcing all game changes. We have been doing some of that in threads in the general forum, but felt that this topic will give game changes the exposure it deserves. The old thread will be used to discuss these changes. You can find it here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11012.

There is also a wiki page where you can get a better overview of changes, for easier reference: http://wiki.cantr.net/index.php/Recent_changes_in_Cantr.

Sextants have been fixed!

If you repair a sextant it lo longer reset the original coordinates. Because of this fix they will now also start to deteriorate as other items do.

Changes to the Activity page!

From now on the activity page will list missing and added resources and tools in projects a bit different than before:
- Missing tools are more visible.
- Needed resources and objects are listed instead of added resources and objects, in addition to the total. (This will only take effect once the translators of your language have completed translating the new text).

Lockable gastanks have been (semi-)implemented.

The suggestion thread: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=19915

From now on:
- If the vehicle is locked, you can only access the fuel with the corresponding key.
- If the vehicle is unlocked (or without a lock) anyone can access the fuel.

You can now cure leather from fur in the curing tub. You also need a hide scraper for all animal skin treating projects in the curing tub.

This isn't a game change, but I'll post here anyway. I'll be taking a leave of absence from staff starting now, and lasting at least one month. I'm letting you all know because I've become the go-to admin when you have problems, and I need you to know that I won't be handling any staff work during my leave. If you have any problems, please contact the appropriate department using the contact forms.

It is now possible to cancel lockbreaking projects, if they are a year (20 days) or more old.

Suggestion topic: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=19981

Enjoy!

You can now manufacture a new cooking utensil; the frying pan. It works the same way as the cooking stone.

It should now be possible to manufacture 3 wires with one project. As this is a new feature there might still be some bugs present.

A couple of new alcoholic beverages has been implemented.

http://wiki.cantr.net/index.php/Grain_spirit
http://wiki.cantr.net/index.php/Rice_spirit
http://wiki.cantr.net/index.php/Potato_spirit
http://wiki.cantr.net/index.php/Brandy
http://wiki.cantr.net/index.php/Apple_brandy

The names have been kept neutral on purpose to don't favour one particular drink over another. All new beverages require a pot still.

Just to let you know;

Staff has previously been updating the wiki. That is not going to happen automagically from now on. The wiki is supposed to be by players, for players, so whenever an anouncement is made here anyone is welcome and urged to update the wiki.
