When you start a project, it needs a certain amount of hay. I assume it depends on the size of the animal. You add the hay to the project and work on it, and there's a chance of failure. Hay comes from a haystack that's made out of bales, that can be made out of grass or any grain.

Thanks Seko. What is the purpose of seperating from the herd? Do you have to do that before you can try to tame it, or is it for a different purpose?

You can carry/drag it around. That's the only advantage.

I restructured the wiki a little. The main article for animal domestication can now be found here: http://wiki.cantr.net/index.php/Animal_domestication
I will soon add more subcategories to it.

Almost nothing. It marks animal as loyal to you so you can distinct it from the others (useful for a pet). You are also the only person who can join animal with a pack. A bit more can be read there:

And congratulations for taming first animal in the world!

How is the skill levels for Animal husbandry created, are they just random made up as there are no people with the skill from earlier?

When you have a pack of domesticated animals out in a town which allows hunting, it is imho bad that also those will be chosen as targets for hunting, when you select the "all"-box. I see a serious attrition for domesticated animals in such a situation and trouble for characters, whose players aren't paying enough attention...

I agree, they should be excluded from the "select all" option.

Good idea, I'll change that.

So, should one wait for sheep to grow wool, or does the amount of wool (illogically) increase when you shear often, as I read it does in milking? I think it said minimal the first time (giving indeed a VERY minimal amount) and after a day, minimal is offered. Or should the pack size be greater to get more than the minimal (4 on first shearing, now 5)?

Re: Animals domestication - finally there!
Descriptive "minimal" is based on percent of max amount possible for animals. In example "average" for a pack of 4 sheep is probably about 4 times more than "average" for a single sheep.
It's a bit more profitable (in terms of wool got per day) to shear animals often, but that's not the only factor which affects wool growth rate (and not very important), so it's rather not useful to do it every day.
