I've been back to Cantr for about ten months now, and realized I haven't had a single character use walking as a means to get from one town to another. Aside from a few times of quickly stepping out on the road to talk to another character, walking is just something my characters haven't had to do.
Is this the norm? Is walking rare?

Re: How Common is Walking?
It's pretty common actually, at least amongst newspawn who spawn and then walk off right away or after couple days. But most characters really use vehicles or bikes at least rather than walk

Several of my characters walk.
In fact one just recently walked from scarab haunt to rose hill on fu.....(five cantr years of travel in case you are wondering)...I should have named him Forrest.

So common that in Portuguese we have characters that is defined together by nomadic culture, quite different from urban cultures.
Cantr II is a social simulator. What is not working is due a problem in the society.

Re: How Common is Walking?
Half of characters travelling right now are walking, but this is probably highly affected by short travel time when using a vehicle and (potentially) suicide newspawns.

Re: How Common is Walking?
In the EZ I would be surprised to see anyone on in their 30's walking. There are vehicles all over the place that do not rust and bikes, tandems and rickshaws being given away for free in some places. Add to that the use of mounts and empty boats all over, walking in that area is more choice than necessity. People step out on the road to 'talk' often and that may skew the statistics a bit too.

I have 2 characters that have walked a lot. One just found a bike, and the other walks by choice.

Re: How Common is Walking?
My characters walk in three situations:
- chasing someone who run
- they forgot to take your bike
- last walk
No it isn't common.
